Child Safe Tourism

Don’t engage in any sexual activity with any person under the age of 18 years

Why is it important?

Sexual activity with children is against the law. According to international conventions, a child is anyone under the age of 18 years. Sexual abuse has serious, long-term impacts on children. You also could face serious consequences, both in the country you are visiting and back home.

What can I do if I see something suspicious?

If you see anything during your travels that makes you uncomfortable, upset, disgusted or scared, do something about it. Report any suspicious behavior immediately to local authorities or the international agencies listed below.
